Storage in India needed an upgrade. StorageWale is our attempt to build it.
The brand story
StorageWale started from a simple observation: when people in Indian cities run out of space, their options are a godown, a friend’s garage, or a self-storage unit they fill themselves — and none of these is designed around what the customer actually wants, which is keep my things safe and give them back when I ask. The name says what we do. Wale is the person who handles something for you. We are the storage people.
Why StorageWale exists
Cities like Pune, Bangalore and Gurgaon move constantly: leases end before possessions begin, postings take people abroad, startups grow into and out of offices, sellers outgrow the spare room, and records pile up that cannot be thrown away. Each of these creates the same gap — good things with nowhere to go for a while. StorageWale exists to close that gap without the customer lifting a box or losing track of what they own.
The managed-storage philosophy
We treat storage as a service with hand-overs, not as space with a padlock. Our job starts at your door, not at our gate: collect, prepare, catalogue, store, retrieve, return. Because we handle every step, we can document every step — and documentation is what turns “I hope it is fine” into “here is the photo from pickup”.

Technology philosophy
Technology should make the record more reliable, not make the service sound more advanced than it is. Today that means:
- A unique tag and a photo for every item, taken at pickup
- An inventory sheet maintained by our team and shared with you as a document
- Requests and confirmations on WhatsApp, phone and email, with a person answering
- A storage calculator on this site that uses the same rate card as our quotes
We do not currently offer a customer app, dashboard or barcode scanning. When we do, we will say so here — not before.
Customer promise
- A written quote before you commit, with every charge on one page.
- Every item photographed and tagged at pickup, and an inventory sheet the same day.
- Retrieval within the window on your quote, or a straight explanation of why not.
- One person to talk to, who knows your account.
- No lock-in beyond the first month.
Where we are headed
We are launching in Pune, Bangalore and Gurgaon with a managed facility and collection crews in each city. What comes next depends on what customers ask for, but the direction is set: more cities as demand shows us where; a self-service view of your inventory once we can build it to the standard of the sheet it replaces; and deeper business services — receiving, dispatch and records — for the customers who run their operations through us.
None of that is promised on a date. What is promised is on the customer promise above, and it applies from the first pickup.
