StorageWale

The StorageWale process

How it works: seven steps from your doorstep to secure storage and back

Managed storage means you never rent an empty room, hire a truck or carry a box. Here is exactly what happens, in order, and what you get at each step.

The seven steps

You store. We manage the rest — from your doorstep to our facility and back.

  1. 1

    Tell Us

Pick a storage type and list what you have — in the storage calculator, on a call, or by sending photos or a short video on WhatsApp. No site visit is needed for most homes and small businesses.

You: List your items, city and rough duration

We: Check the list and ask about floor, lift access and dates

  2. 2

    Get Quote

A storage advisor confirms your item list and sends a written quote: monthly storage on the packed volume, one-time pickup and handling, and the per-trip retrieval charge, with any optional services you asked for. Nothing changes on pickup day.

You: Approve the quote and choose a pickup slot

We: Confirm the crew, vehicle and any society or building permissions

  3. 3

    We Collect

On the day you choose, a StorageWale crew arrives in a closed vehicle, carries everything down — sofas, wardrobes, cartons, pallets — and signs a pickup receipt against your item list.

You: Be present (or nominate someone) to sign the pickup receipt

We: Carry, load and transport in a closed vehicle

  4. 4

    Prepare & Catalogue

Every item is prepared for storage, not just transport: furniture disassembled and wrapped, upholstery covered, electronics padded, cartons sealed. Each item or carton then gets a unique StorageWale tag and a photo, and you receive a digital inventory sheet so you always know exactly what is in storage.

You: Nothing — your inventory sheet arrives the same day

We: Wrap, pad, seal; photograph and tag every unit; issue the inventory sheet

  5. 5

    We Store

Goods are racked or palletised by category in our managed facility with CCTV, controlled access, fire safety systems, scheduled pest control and monthly condition checks. You are billed monthly on the space your items occupy.

    You: Pay the monthly invoice

We: Store, inspect monthly, and keep the inventory sheet current

  6. 6

    Request Retrieval

Need the winter quilts back, a single pallet of stock, or your entire home? Message the tag numbers from your inventory sheet — or just describe what you need. Requests are verified against your registered contact.

You: Send the tag numbers and a delivery address

We: Verify the request, pick the items and check them against their pickup photos

  7. 7

    We Return

We deliver to any address in the city within the retrieval window on your quote — typically 48 hours — against a signed delivery note. Partial retrievals leave the rest in storage and your bill adjusts to what remains.

You: Receive and sign the delivery note

We: Deliver, reassemble furniture on request, update the inventory sheet

Frequently asked questions

+How long does the whole process take?

Quote within a working day of your enquiry; pickup on the next available slot, usually within 2–3 working days; your digital inventory sheet on the same day as pickup; retrieval within 48 hours of a request.

+What happens at pickup exactly?

The crew arrives in the slot you chose, confirms the item list, disassembles and wraps furniture, packs loose items into cartons, tags and photographs each unit, loads the closed vehicle and hands you a signed pickup receipt.

+What is the inventory sheet?

A list of every tagged item with its photo, description, tag number and pickup date, shared with you as a document. You use the tag numbers to request retrievals.

+Can I add more items later?

Yes. Book an additional pickup; the new items are catalogued into the same inventory and your monthly bill adjusts to the new volume.

+Do I need to be present at pickup and delivery?

You or someone you nominate should be present to sign the pickup receipt and the delivery note. For business customers, an authorised contact named in the agreement can sign.
